The Manawatu is host to many communities of discipline specialists who meet regularly. Our communities cover a wide range of specialised interests in the local tech industry. Some meet monthly, some are quarterly, and some are a little more informally.
Meeting with others is a great way to pick up new skills, find help with tricky problems, and meet interesting people. Networking is a great way to find a job because many are not listed publicly.

Interested in developing software, web and related tech? Join us for monthly meetups on a broad range of topics relevant to devs followed by pizza and a social catch-up at a local bar.
Manawatū IT Professionals
Done IT for a few years? Meet for breakfast at 7:30 am on the second Thursday of the month to share ideas/resources with your peers, discuss challenges, and form a network of people you can call on for a bit of advice. Sometimes social, sometimes with a speaker. ITP is a national body for people doing Tech. Many breakfast regulars are ITP members. Anyone can come: you do not have to be an ITP member. Attendance is free (but pay for your own breakfast).
