You don’t have to leave Palmy to build a great tech career. ManawaTech Students connects you with the local tech community — the people, the companies, and the opportunities that most students don’t know exist.
Joining is free. Here’s what you get:
Find work locally. Loads of tech companies operate in the Manawatū. Browse the ManawaTech jobs board for local roles and internships, or add yourself to our CV database so employers can find you — sometimes before jobs are even advertised.
Meet the people. We run networking events throughout the year. Some in town, and some on campus.
Get your CV sorted. Connect with experienced tech professionals who’ll review your CV and give you honest, practical feedback to help you stand out.
Learn what’s out there. Most students don’t know what tech companies in Palmy actually do or what roles are available. Our events, newsletter, and community channels keep you in the loop on opportunities, meetups, and learning events happening locally.
Find your people. Join a community of students at the same stage as you. Share wins, ask questions, and support each other through the Discord and at events. You don’t need to figure this out on your own.
All students are welcome — whether you’re at Massey, UCOL, or studying from anywhere else. If you’re not in the Manawatū, you can still join us and benefit from online events and community support.
